Spindle Interface - GXP

Initially developed by Truvativ and later acquired by SRAM, the Giga X-Pipe spindle is make of steel; measures 24.0mm in diameter on the drive side and reduces to 22.0mm on the non-drive side. One end of the spindle has a ten tooth splined interface with M15 threads inside for a crank fixing bolt while the other end is permanently pressed into the drive side crank arm. The crank bolt extracting cap that threads into the non-drive side crank arm typically uses M26 threads.

Due to the smaller diameter of 24.0mm these spindles are made of steel which makes them slightly heavier than a BB30 spindle and almost equivalent to a Shimano Hollowtech spindle.
